When I was 9, my parents decided my brother and I needed to learn about Opera…so we spent the summer in Spoleto, Italy…a small town famous around the globe for the its Opera Festival. Renting an apartment in the center of town, I was subject to Opera at least 3 times a week – which I came to like! At 9, they achieved their goal. We lived like locals and had a blast…eating Italian food, playing with friends in the local town square and travelling the country. A gift I hope to give my own kids.
